Xu Dongliang, lighting designer. In 1995, he graduated from Nanjing University of Technology (now Southeast University) with a bachelor's degree in architecture. He graduated from Harbin Institute of Architecture and Engineering (now Harbin Institute of Technology) with a graduate degree in architecture in 1988. He went to Japan to work in design in 1991. The head of Dongliang International Lighting Design Center, a director of the China Illumination Society, and the chair of the Institute of Light Environment Design of the ADA Research Center of Beijing University of Architecture. Mainly engaged in urban lighting planning, architectural lighting design, creation of lighting art works, etc., completed lighting planning of several Chinese cities and lighting design of landmark buildings. In 2005, he won the "Japan Illuminating Society Design Award". Light art works include "one tile action of light", "light dialogue", "light blanket", "light bodhi" and so on.
